This is a wonderful podcasts for parents of quiet children. I’ve always known my son to be a sensitive introvert, but hearing about other children like him helps me feel like I’m on the right path with him, challenging him (but not too much). I highly recommend this to everyone, but especially extroverts because it’s time our society stops seeing introverts as “damaged” or “less than”.

As an extroverted parent, this gave me so many tools to better understand and celebrate my introverted child. It was so interesting! It was like a cracked open my child’s mind, I kept saying aloud, yes, that’s him! Excellent podcast!

As a child I was the “quiet one” in my class. I do remember, teachers always trying to figure out why I was so “quiet”. It felt awkward and frustrating all in one. I wish teacher’s were more informed in this field. In result, it turned me off being in a school setting. Ultimately not wanted to be in a classroom, cause I knew teachers weren’t understand me. They would impose their views upon you.

I recommend this podcast to all of my friends. As a parent and educator, I have gained perspective and empathy for both the introverts and extroverts in my life. With this, I can understand the world and people around me to be a more effective and compassionate human being. Thank you, Susan Cain. I look forward to your upcoming episodes.

This is a fabulous podcast and I recommend to all the parents who have introverted kids. I’m an adult and I had so much to learn by listening to this podcast. This is something I wish my parents had access to when I was a kid.

From the first episode, I was hooked. Susan Cain’s gentle, yet persuasive command of this topic is so helpful. As you might have guessed, I am an introvert. As the only introvert in a family of extroverts, I always had to explain myself... why did I love to listen to music alone in my room? Why did I spend so much time writing in my diary? Why was I the only member of my family not putting in their two cents at dinner? Yes, I was criticized regularly for being different. As Susan rightly states, there’s nothing wrong with us... in fact, our sensitivity and our ability to observe and analyze make us valuable members of society. We are successful because of our introversion, not despite it. Thank you, Susan, for allowing introverts like me to be - and accept - ourselves. Now if I could only get all those talkers in the family to listen to your podcast. (They seem to never stop talking long enough to listen... <sigh>...)

Even as an introvert myself, I have found it a challenge, at times, parenting my introverted daughter. This podcast has really helped to set my heart at ease, worry much less, and just celebrate my little girl. I would highly recommend this podcast to fellow parents.

As a parent of an introverted child and an introvert myself, I felt like this podcast really delves into how we are impacted by societal expectations. There are a lot of great tips in here on how to use our nature to our benefit. Extra points for the older kids featured who give me hope for my daughter's future!

I'm a better parent and person because of the book Quiet and now this podcast. I just heard about the podcast today and stayed at the gym on the stationary bicycle after my usual work out, just to listen to two more episodes. It's that good and I love the format all the way up to the tips and takeaways at the end of each podcast.

I'm not a parent but this podcast has been very helpful for me. For the past 25 years I've struggled with my introversion and hearing this podcast has really helped me understand that there's not something "wrong" with me but rather something "different" about me. I urge anyone who also struggles with understanding their own introversion to give this podcast a listen! It's also just very interesting and well put together.

Quiet is very interesting and well produced, but continually does a grammatical tick that drives me bonkers. I know it's very common in modern academic writing, but switching back and forth between gendered pronouns when referring to a hypothetical singular person is so odd sounding and off putting. In one sentance my hypothetical child is a she, the next they have been changed to he. This isn't equal representation- it's silly and distracting. Why not just use they?

This books and podcast complete broke open our world! I discovered through her website that I am an ambivent, and all of a suddent the world made so much more sense. I was exhausted from being shoved into one box or the other. My husband is an introvert, and I came to fully understand his experience of the world and became aware of ways that I may be pushing him and making him uncomfortable. I'm about to head back to graduate school, and I'm excited to hold these idea close and fully embrace how I learn and honor the learning styles of my classmates.

It is so stirring to realize I am not alone in being an introvert.

I've come a long way as an introverted "quiet" person, but have had to figure it out for myself along the way. Thankfully Susan Cain is creating this resource for similarly talented young people today (and their parents) to understand that we're not broken, we don't need to be fixed and that there are many successful people out there who just wish that the world could be a quieter place on occasion! Cudos to Susan for getting her message out there. This podcast is quickly becoming one of the best in iTunes!

I wish I had this podcast and advice when I was a child. Even through a good chunk is geared towards parents helping their introverted children navigate life, I have been able to repurpose it for myself as a young adult. I recently moved halfway across the country for a new job, away from my family and way, way out of my comfort zone. I found this at the most perfect time and even Susan’s voice is soothing and great to listen to. Thank you so much for this, looking forward to more.

I have enjoyed much of what I’ve read and heard here. I was surprised and disappointed by the most recent podcast about introverts and college. I felt that It made an assumption that most people are in a position to apply to “their favorite school” and somehow the dreary economics of it all isn’t an issue (which it actually is). It's as if going into debt is accepted and the realities put aside for a later date (which is where many college grads are finding themselves). It was geared toward a tiny section of the population, focusing on a couple of silly angles, and watered down to suit unrealistic expectations. So misleading. We should all have such problems.

As an introvert and a parent of 2 more introverts, I love this podcast. It has made me stop and think about my own life and how I am parenting my kids. Thank you so much!

I loved the book Quiet and I was stoked to see this podcast after finishing the book. The podcast is very well done, but it seems to be primarily focused ways of dealing with introverted children as opposed to adult issues. That is great for those with children and I think that it is important, but just doesn’t provide much value to me since I don’t have kids. If you have introverted children then I think this would be a great podcast for you. If the content changes, I will be sure to update my review.

This podcast is amazing. I was a quiet child growing up and it's so nice to hear other quiet children describe their childhoods! I loved Susan's book and since reading it I have been interested in advocating for quiet people.

I love a podcast that feels like a meaningful, personal conversation with someone who cares about me and also has a ton of information that can positively impact my life. Quiet is just that-- I challenge you to listen to an episode without smiling, jotting something down, or feeling your heart swell a little. Introverts (and those who know, love, work with, or parent them) should celebrate the launch of this podcast... Separately and in our own homes, as the saying goes! :)

Thank you for taking on the topic of classroom participation and penalizing quiet students for not participating. So important and such a huge problem in my teen's life. Every semester she received several comments on her report card. This year, before the report cards came out, I sent each teacher a note quoting "Quiet". It worked. I want to provide this podcast to my principal in an attempt to get the school to address this as an institution. Thank you for addressing this topic!
