Was one of my favorite crime podcasts. Honestly sad that this ended, but it is still worth a listen.

Abortion fetish? Destroyers of culture and mind.

Martinis and murder?! How about “Dead people & doughnuts”, or “Macabre & macaroni.” Pretty lame. Can’t be taken serious.

I really wanted to love this but the constant interruption by the voice modified produced was too much. I listened at random so I’m sure it’s an inside joke I didn’t get but a quick explanation during the intros would help. It just kept taking me out of the story because it was so jarring.

I was very hesitant to listen to a pod from such a big network but these two are hilarious and I love the show so much- I was so sad to find out its over!!

Too much talking by the hosts - way better podcasts out there!

The person who is claiming the bad reviews are due to “politics”, which makes no sense whatsoever- complaints range from “tasteless” to the victims (true), to “couldn’t get through one episode” (also true), to my own complaint- the hosts are obnoxious and forcing this “quirky/fun” persona that just makes them irritating and neither of them are naturally funny so they’re trying to force everyone to believe they are by making annoying, boring jokes nonstop. They constantly make jokes, which would be disrespectful to anyone who has an ounce of compassion for others- usually people who DON’T try to claim that people only hate what they like because of “politics” and not for the actual reason- they have bad taste and no sense of humor- and moreover, the hosts jokes are horrendously non-funny. They didn’t come up with one clever, naturally delivered joke- totally bland, scripted and obnoxious humor, which only someone else with a bland sense of humor would like. Sorry, you’ve been proven wrong. “Ha!”.

Your ads for this podcast are extremely tasteless. Using peoples’ murder as your entertainment while you get drunk is a pretty gross way to advertise your show and make a profit.

I’m so sick of these commercialized crime podcast. We as a people need to stop giving them views. It’s not right. These people profit off of the unfortunate. Be a better person and stop listening to this garbage.

I love listing to your podcast! Helps my day go by faster! But it always makes me crave a martini in the middle of the day!! LOVE YOU GUYS!

So everyone is reviewing with low stars because of politics... seems like you just don’t agree with theirs. I’m guessing 9 out of 10 people who’ve done that are trump supporters. Good riddance.

I somehow got you all on the first podcast and never missed a beat. Lots of entertaining, thanks for your hard work

But agree its time to end I enjoyed your stories during pandemic but the Murders were a bit weak and missed the Martini recipes just being honest! Would be very excited to hear your new show and new adventures thank you for the great years

Me and all of my coworkers used to Love to listen UNTIL they brought politics into it . I have coworkers on both sides and we all agreed that this podcast was entertaining and trying to get away from politics. None of us listen anymore but we miss how it used to be . ☹️ By the way, more of the coworkers are on the left but did NOT like the hatefulness on this podcast. Should be left for another platform . I started listening to this podcast from the start. I've turnd it off multiple tims and after a couple months, I try to give it another chance only to turn it off again. The most annoying thing about it is Matt's disguised voice, I just turnd off Peeksgill because of it and it reminded me why it's basically unlistenable. John and Daryn are generally good hosts and have nice speaking voices. Drop the the baby Tershbern. It's not even mildy amusing especially for a long term bit.

Thank you all so much for your stories and for being generally hilarious. Also, thank you for your messages of hope and staying apolitical mostly because there is plenty of polarizing statements to be found elsewhere. I greatly appreciate the escape you give me!

I’ve been following Martini’s and Murder for about a year. Recently I’ve stopped listening. The podcast has sort of become mainly a conversation podcast about their lives and interests (which is fine if that’s what they advertise). If they release episodes about 1/4 is about true crime, and if the episode is 30 minutes long only half of it focuses on the murder. They should focus on true crime and release a second podcast where they converse about life.

I listened to this podcast because I like true crime but the last few months it seems like politics get brought up at some point on every episode. I could careless who you voted for but I don’t listen to true crime to hear about ANY president or anything political unless it has to do with a murder. All podcasts that get into politics more than a few times have been unsubscribed.

Added this to my list of favorites! Love the vibe and format of the show, thanks for helping keep us sane during quarantine!

The better podcasts do not need to curse to be a good listen. This cheapens the message.

tacky name, shallow storytelling

I came for true crime. First 15 minutes and I haven’t heard anything to do with the topic? Hosts are annoying.

I wanted to like this podcast. I tried several times to listen to different episodes. There’s too much chit chat. Too much personal information. Their voices are annoying, their storytelling is shallow, and I just can’t like this show.

This was the first true crime podcast I listened to and I always keep coming back.

They are the most annoying hosts ever. Think they are funny- not remotely funny in the least. They like to hear themselves talk. I cannot get through one episode. I cannot even follow the stories through all their nonsensical jabber. Save yourself.

Woman host irritating, often vulgar. It takes forever to get to actual crime story. Much unnecessary and superfluous banter between two host. Not the podcast if you are just looking for a crime story with relevant commentary.

Stop with the politics! We come for true crime. What a shame, I thought I had found a fun place that was free of the politics.

Neither are funny, neither are informational.

And they veer off into silly stuff. Couldn’t make it through an episode.

Hello! Like I said, loving it so far, but the inconsistency in content volume and ad volume is JARRING. There’s an ad about wine in particular, and it honestly sounds like someone has started bellowing (and come on-this is a true crime podcast-we’re already on the edge!!!)

Had to leave. Was attacked in FB group for having a juicy Scoop. Could never understand Matt.

I so rarely enjoy podcasts but these two (sometimes three when Matt feels like working) work and mesh so well together. Listening to them discuss cases feels like listening to my tow best friends just hanging out. Will forever be a fan of this podcast.

Love the banter back and forth. Enough shows just give you the story if that is what people are looking for.

Would love to be able to listen to this but there is such terrible language that I just can’t do it !! I w true a couple of times. Why do people find it appealing to others when they talk like this 😑
