Love this mushing podcast
This being my 2nd year following anything having to do with mushing, I had no idea what I was in for when I asked to volunteer at a sled dog race last winter. Turns out it’s the most obsessive sport in the world. I know people who race all over North America now and even follow one or two in Sweden, which is crazy. I KNOW THEIR DOGS. Anyway, this podcast is so informative and also down to earth and I love it. It feeds my soul. Don’t ever turn it off too soon — there’s a sound byte at the end!

Wonderful Iditarod Podcast
I look forward to these episodes every year. The race coverage is excellent but what really makes this podcast so special are the wonderful human interest stories that go behind the scenes with the mushers and the amazing dogs. Thank you for the dog of the day feature!

Iditapod puts you in the race
Love this show! If you’re interested in the Iditarod or want to learn more about it, you have to take in the Iditapod! The team at Alaska Public Media does an amazing job of giving daily updates on the race. Even if you know very little about the Iditarod, you’ll feel like you know the mushers, the dogs, and the logistics of the race after just one episode. The hosts are incredibly knowledgeable and their interviews make you feel like you are on the trail (you can hear the dogs barking in the background at least once on each episode). The Iditapod team makes you feel like you’re part of the conversation no matter where you’re listening from. Another bonus - the episodes are short making it easy to take one in each day of the race!

Humorous, educational, warm reporting
I love this show and really appreciate the team at Alaska Public Media for putting it together. I know you all work especially hard during the Iditarod to give us this great coverage. Thanks for giving me my favorite two weeks of podcasting of the year!

Disappointing
Five days into the race and only one update.

The best news on the Iditarod!
I love the hosts and their approach to covering the Iditarod every year. It's not just about who's leading or play-by-plays, but the people (and dogs!) who make the Iditarod the last great race.

More Iditapod
Keep the Iditapod going! I was dismayed to hear you may need to divert your efforts. We don’t need more reporting about the coronavirus. I came to Iditapod because there are no other sports, just coronavirus 24/7. Mahalo from Aiea, HI

FUN and INFORMATIVE!
I listened to every episode of 2019 and enjoyed it immensely. The hosts are knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient. They keep the podcast on task, which I appreciate. I’m looking forward to the 2020 episodes! (MN girl who loves AK, too.)

Coolest podcast ever!
I usually don’t hear anything on the news about the Iditarod until after it’s over. This year I discovered the Iditapod, and it’s been great following the race in real time! I’m going to miss all the reporters when it’s over; it’s been wonderful listening to them on my commute. I’ll be listening again next year!

Informative and fun podcast about Iditarod
The podcast is a great way to follow what’s happening day-to-day during the Iditarod (including interviews with mushers) and also learn bigger picture info about the race as an institution, mushing, Alaska, etc. It’s a seasonal podcast and I get excited when the first episode of the new season shows up on my phone — I know I’ll be in for a treat for the next few weeks.

Great way to follow the Iditarod
Very entertaining and informative. I’ve particularly enjoyed the bonus episodes with extended musher interviews and Quince Mountain’s interview about Dillon.

Great way to follow the race
Most sled dog races occurs way outside the reach of most media coverage. Following along with this podcast is as close as it gets!

Entertaining, quality coverage of the Iditarod!
This podcast got me totally psyched while following the race this year!

Do this every year! Thanks AK Public and KNOM
For anyone who doesn't just wanna know who crossed the finish line. Kacey, Zach, Tegan, and Ben & company bring us the characters, the backstories, the swept under the rug dirt, the physical grit, the mental energies, and the awesome wonder of the last great race. With endearing personalities themselves, it's as if they are telling stories in our own living room. Only they're not. Love it!!! Do this every year, please!!! A big fan Nomite in Juneau, Alaska

Great series
I was hooked from the first episode and looked forward to each installment. I learned a lot about the sport and loved every minute! I especially enjoyed hearing about the students that were following the race. Thanks for the great content, hope you produce it again next year.

Thank you for the awesome podcast!
This podcast is great, it lets you follow the iditarod as if you were a reporter on the trail (complete with hearing the delirium of the reporter's long, sleeped deprived days). At the same time informative and highly entertaining!

Great Insight - Needs Fresh Voice
We are new to the IditaPod and plan on going to the Idtirod in 2018. Love the content, but the subtle sarcasm of the announcer is dissappointing when a little enthusiasm for the Last Great Race would help the event grow.

You mentioned us!
Hi, I'm from the podcast I-kid-a-pod thank you for mentioning our podcast, I'm not going to tell you my musher name, but I will tell you I upload on Tuesdays and I'm a girl so, I'm either Winter Rose or Fossilized snow, I think I speak for my entire class when I say thank you so much!
Americangirl180
Good updates - Good stories - Good production value
Great to have reporters on the trail actual interviews with the mushers - not too technical - seems to capture the spirit of the race

Fun to hear
All my friends always crack up about how into the Iditarod I get. This podcast just help me keep up-to-date and understand some of the ins and outs. My favorite section was of course the musher interviews, especially Aily! Would love longer episodes next year, but I understand there's lots that goes into broadcasting from very remote places. Job well done!

Wonderful for novices and experienced Iditarod experts!
I'm not too familiar with the Iditarod, and this podcast is very accessible, while still having enough detail and expertise to keep an experienced fan interested! They have great interviews, and the fact that its daily is great!

Great storytelling, great race
Love how transported I feel listening to these episodes. It's spring where I am, but I feel like I'm on the trail with the huskies.
