July 31 link between climate change and environmental disaster
Samantha needs to explain the naturally receding ice sheet for the past 12000+ years prior to fossil fuel use and it’s link to current ‘climate change’ Also, Xi has stated that his people come before transitioning to non fossil fuels contrary to Biden who’s playing politics risking our energy system, economy and the security/ welfare of the US.

Excellent, but Not About Trade
It’s an excellent show with an remarkably knowledgeable host who pulls in very good guests…but it’s not a podcast about trade, not even loosely. World Economics might be a better descriptor.

A clear-minded economist
Finally, there’s someone who get it regarding U.S.’ Build Back Better World and China’s Belt and Road. Howard French sees it to the core of the issues: whoever can help the bureaucracy get better and deliver social service results, that’s what matters.

get this guy a microphone
david is amazing but it’s really not too much to ask to buy a $50 blue yeti for him and for all us listeners.

Rapid, concise, thoughtful overview of the major global challenges, and what the Biden admin can do to address them. Really appreciated the insights.

The disastrous effects of Trump’s trade policies
Superb discussion of why, every year Trump has been in office, trade deficits have risen, and why so many manufacturing jobs have been lost. Sandra Polaski speaks succinctly about concomitant harmful policies arising from the Department of Labor and the 2017 tax cut legislation, and gives her insights into what Biden’s proposed policies could do to improve the American economy. It is mind-bending to know that Trump has such strong support in Rust Belt states, given the deleterious effects his peculiar 19th-century mercantilist approach to economics has had on these Americans. Good podcast, and informative as always.

Thought this was non-partisan
I have enjoyed the commentary on trade and economy for a very long time and thought this show did well with that. It was a show I didn’t have to hear partisan discussions and honest dialogue on mainly economic issues. The last show misrepresenting debate language and offering partisan commentary was unwelcome and somewhat surprising to hear from this podcast.

Senator Toomey interview
Excellent interview! Great to know there are still free traders in Republican Party. I was surprised by his candid comments on the shortcoming of USMCA and need to reconsider TTP. I also enjoyed the interview with Senator Portman. How about inviting some Democrats like Senator Warner to give an interview? Keep up the much needed efforts to make economic policy and trade issues understandable to common people.
