Loud chitchat and laughing
Cutesy chitchat and laughing and very little real advice

Annoying waste of time!
The nadir of our digital times-anyone regardless of dearth of talent, wit or knowledge can host a podcast.

Irritating endless banter
I tried to give this podcast a chance, but getting to the cleaning advise involves listening to endless banal banter in shrill voices and cackles. Unbearable. Apparently she has a column, so I’ll look for that instead.

Love it!
This show has been great for me! I am NOT a clean person myself at all, but Jolie Kerr is absolutely delightful, and somehow makes cleaning interesting. I play this podcast when I’m doing laundry or cleaning, and it works great as inspiration/motivation, and is always entertaining enough to keep me going.

WAY too much filler
I listened to Ep 51, on cleaning floors. It took 10 min to even get to the topic, and then every time Jolie would start to give actual advice, Dave would interrupt with an attempted joke and derail the conversation. It took 40 minutes for me to hear maybe two minutes of cleaning advice. Very frustrating.

Cleaning convert
Thanks to this podcast, I no longer feel like an utter failure at cleaning. I’ve learned so much, which has given me the motivation to keep up with regular cleaning tasks. Thanks, Jolie. I hope you’re enjoying your hiatus.

Should be good
Lots of rambling in the hat episode. Talks fast. Tells you side stories to fill time and takes a while to get to the heart of the matter. Reminds me of an online recipe that gives you 1000 words on their kids’ activities, the new paint color in their hall and then finally gives you the cookie recipe you wanted.

Get to the point!
I dearly wanted to love this podcast. I can tell Jolie is smart, well-researched, and has a lot of very solid information to share. But I don't have 50 minutes to spend trying to sift out 10-15 minutes of practical advice. I get that she wants the show to be funny and entertaining, but the long asides and rambling interludes do a disservice to her and the show by burying the lead and her real talent — with cleaning. The show could be a third of the time and I bet its popularity would increase. Its just too padded with unneeded, insider-y (with her guests) banter — it's frustrating to try to have to wait out the chatter to extract the info I came to the show for in the first place.

Awesome podcast!
Highly recommend for the laughs, a companion (and a reason!) to do your weekly cleaning, and seriously great tips. I’ve listened for a few years and learned so much. What I love is that I’ve learned the science behind different cleaning methods so I can put those into practice when I face a new cleaning quandary ✨ thanks Jolie!!

Excellent podcast
Have listened to this almost since the beginning and learned so much. Jolie is very knowledgeable and creative. The podcast is unique because it is really fun to listen to as well -- it is like being at a party, sometimes with everyone talking at once. The language is a little rough at times but there is so much laughter and great information it is well worth it.

I’ve learned so much!
This podcast has taught me soo much! Abt how to clean tough stains! Super helpful

Surprisingly useful.
I have been listening to these episodes (and chip chat) for a few moths. I listen while I’m at work because Jolie is very entertaining and don’t think I was absorbing anything useful, until my daughter brought me the shirt needed to wear to band. The white shirt with purple letters had a huge puppy pee stain. I was amazed that my brain knew exactly how to save it. Thanks Jolie.

Great info.. takes rather a long time to get it
I am really grateful for all of the clever and/or common sense tips I have learned, thank you. I wish you would not apologize for a short episode. It was a welcome break from the hyper-enthusiastic, overly-inside-baseball episodes of the last year. More shorter, focused episodes please.

Fun and informative
I love the informal chatty banter of this podcast. It’s fun to listen to, but I also feel like I’ve absorbed enough cleaning info (practically by accident) that most of the messes in my life are now incredibly easy to clean.

Good information, format can be annoying
I used to LOVE this podcast. I own Jolie Kerr’s book and she is always my first stop for cleaning info. However, the format lately has been annoying. She scaled back the length of episodes, which, fine. However she spends a significant portion of episodes saying why she isn’t feeling herself (this week: back injury) and talking about scheduling problems with cohosts. So, enjoy with a grain of salt and maybe by skipping the first 10 minutes. Also bonus show isn’t worth it to me at least. Can’t even tell you what it’s about. Eating chips? I cancelled my subscription.

Sooo useful and funny
I recently started cleaning more and this podcast has been so helpful. My favorite part of the cleaning tips that she will give you options so that you know that you don’t like to clean a certain way or you don’t like certain kinds of products she will give you other options for what you should use instead. She’s also really funny and you can tell that she and her guests are having a lot of fun. I am so glad I found this podcast and I have been recommending it to all my friends.

I struggle with cleaning and I love this show
I listen on such an aspirational basis, but I just think Jolie Kerr is great. I have gotten some cleaning tips and motivation, but I stay for the laughs.

Listen & clean
I love this podcast! Not only does it solve my cleaning problem, but it entertains me while I clean & motivates me to clean more. Thanks for making my home cleaner & helping me get my cleaning on. I enjoy Jolie's voice & find her stories highly entertaining. The guest hosts are great too!

Too much banter
Way too much small talk and giggling
leah6892
Radio talk
Have tried twice to listen to different episodes that I was super interested in hearing, but can’t even listen the whole way thru. Very little actual cleaning advice & just a bunch of radio talk- the very reason I hate the radio. Such a bummer because I really wanted to know some of the cleaning tips but just can’t do it.

Presentation has gone downhill
Jolie Kerr is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. She no longer stays on subject and wastes too much time with idle unrelated chat. She giggles loudly at her own comments and then drops her voice when she finally gets back on subject. To extract the 2.5 minutes of actual knowledgeable content you have to suffer through hearing her scream about nothing and nervously and at high volume try to laugh at herself in the microphone. It is time for her to cleanup her own act or stop the podcasting.

Too much laughing
Very disappointing - too much laughing at nothing - and very annoying voice - nothing about real cleaning!

Awful!
Ridiculous! Laughing amongst themselves for the first 8 minutes, so annoying - can't believe anyone would subscribe!

Disappointed
Waaaay too much boring personal material. Earlier episodes actually contain cleaning tips but later episodes are manic and dull. I do NOT care about her hangover.

Truly turns the mundane to extract!
Who thought they could be someone who could take what do many feel alright into a joyous might I even say pleasure experience!!

My Brain Feels Cleaner
As a deeply messy person, I have long looked to Jolie Kerr as a beacon toward what my life could be like. This podcast only reinforces that notion.

Love the book and the column, podcast meh
As a fellow Clean Person (TM) I had high hopes for this podcast, but it is merely OK. I LOVE the book and the column- they're funny and have great advice! But the podcast has WAY too much filler, banal chat, and uptalking (why??) 10 minutes of content stretched to 45. Again- HIGHLY recommend you buy Jolie's book and read her columns. Just don't recommend this.

Invaluable
Ugh. I love Jolie and all her witchy tricks. She’s changed my life for the cleaner. This podcast is pure joy.

Love!
I love this podcast! Jolie is hilarious and just so genuine. Her tips and tricks are super helpful and the questions and scenarios she responds to are just straight up entertaining. I have become a much cleaner person thanks to Jolie’s inspiration. I even make my bed everyday and wash my sheets every week! I love to listen to the podcast while cleaning and I do a quick “Jolie Kerr” google search when I need a detailed play by play to clean something. Jolie makes cleaning fun!

<3 U like Bleachie!
I've been using Jolie's advice and reveling in her attitude since her days writing on The Hairpin. Put this podcast in your ears.

Big Appliances
I was so eager to hear about cleaning tips for big appliances, but after seven minutes of mindless sophomoric chatter and giggles I had to shut down. Guys, there is nothing wrong with some light banter but get to the point of the show within a minute or two.

My life has improved
Jolie’s advice has helped me be a more functional human, which is more than I can say for most entertainment. I appreciate her quirks and like the vibe, I find this surprisingly good roadtrip listening or for - duh- cleaning house. I was vacuum shopping when I first heard this podcast a long while back and heard her talk about her vacuum, I was like, “this person gets it.” I kind of miss the bro-y cohost she had for a while, but most people she brings on are decent. A lot of ads and plugs makes it hard to listen straight through and I definitely skip a lot—which is why it’s best for listening in the car with my finger on the button so I hear only the good parts.

Great podcast - funny and practical
Recently discovered this podcast a few months ago and glad I did. Lots of great tips and always delivered through amusing stories. Only critique is that I am not digging the sarcastic comments and somewhat negative energy from the April co-host. Otherwise, big fan and appreciate the help!

Only Jolie could make cleaning sound so dirty!
Love it! Super helpful advice—errs on the side of natural, but without the woo. Hilarious and entertaining.

Unsubscribed after Dave
I loved the first couple dozen episodes of this podcast! I learned so much and really enjoyed the flow and banter...that is, until Dave showed up. I cannot get behind his terrible sense of humor and it’s frustrating listening to him bust out jokes that a 12-year-old wouldn’t find funny. I couldn’t continue and deleted from my library. Sorry Jolie :/

Not enough cleaning
The cleaning tips are very helpful, but they make up such a small portion of the show that it’s not worth a listen anymore. I don’t mind a little banter, but it’s 90% of the episode most weeks. I feel like it’s a competition with the guests to be as “edgy” and sexual as possible, and it’s completely unnecessary. If the topic of the episode isn’t sexual, then I don’t want or need to hear a detailed story every week about how people got what bodily fluids where. I was hoping that they would find a cohost with a background in cleaning to give the episodes more direction. So far, it seems like it’s just giving the cohost a platform to make dry jokes that Jolie clearly enjoys, but I don’t. I really wanted to like this, but I will just google any of Jolie’s tips that I want to know from now on.

Delightful
I am not a clean person but Jolie is inspiring me. She and her guests are delightful and chill. I expected the host of a cleaning podcast to be uptight - so not the case. Also, no shade to the other guests, but Josh Gondelman is world’s funniest podcast guest.

Disappointed
Too much incessant and often irelevant banter to wade through before she actually gives you maybe one or two tips. Waste of time. Very disappointed.

From Twitter to Podcast
Enjoy Jolie’s twitter page, and appreciate her frankness and goofiness on the podcast. Her energy is a lively infusion to cleaning...and don’t get me started talking about wash water Wednesday.

Jolie is FIRE
I’ve been recommending this pod left and right because of how much useful information there is about cleaning AND for Jolie and her guests’ experiences and willingness to learn. Keep doing those live shows, girl! The one in NYC was so fun!

Get to the advice...
I really wanted to like this podcast but I haven’t been able to listen to a full episode because I’m constantly fast forwarding trying to get to her actually advice. Dave is incredibly annoying. I wish they’d stop talking about their personal lives. I could care less. Unsubscribed.

Jolie Kerr is a delight.
If you don’t love this podcast, you just don’t have a soul. Jolie is an amazing, funny, curious, empathetic person who has answers for everything, great guests, and a hilarious outlook on life. She is also so generous with her time when answering questions on email or twitter, and is overall a wonderful human. Listen to this show. Love this show. Thank me later.

Jolie is awesome
I love all of her tips and the funny stories that go with them...now if we can get her to demonstrate some of her mad skills on instagram stories, I would be set!

Love this podcast!
Jolie is sooo helpful, fun, and responsive. I love listening to the show each week to hear her connect with guests and help listeners. Even on the rare occasions that her tips prove to be something I won’t use, I feel like I’m hanging out with friends when I listen.
