Amazing storytelling! I’ve never been to this region of the US, but Nina can sure paint a picture. Great podcast!!

The Jennifer Crumbley Trial
That was just thoughts on whether this was a tragedy, no true analysis.

Jennifer Crumbley Episode
Great discussion about Jennifer Crumbley. It was casual as you described it would be and it was thought-provoking.
also fed up!
Big fan
I love hearing stories from my home state. Also, the hosts voice is so soothing and I really enjoy her storytelling.

Nina is the best
All the reviews where people say she’s an AI BOT or something like that are hysterical. I’ve actually met her in person and she’s not AI or a Bot. I’ve been listing at least 6 years too.

No thanks
Why is everyone applauding her voice? She sounds like a robot reading a script.

Great voice!
I fall asleep to this podcast because Nina’s voice is so calming…even though she’s talking about murder! lol! I’ve seen some of the stories she tells on true crime tv shows but I always enjoy listening to her tell it. She’s also made me want to visit Michigan.

Excellent pod from beginning to end.
There is a lot to like about this pod. Nina has an excellent voice for podcasting. Regardless of genre, she would be pleasing to the ear. She emotes as necessary, giving trigger warnings for content that is more graphic. That said, she shows empathy both to victims and their loved ones. I can contrast this to podcasts I’ve unsubscribed because frankly, the podcasters were distastefully “into” the graphic details. Lastly, the episodes are well researched and well organized so even longer episodes are clear from beginning to end. Nina also posts updates to past cases as needed. I subscribe to a lot of podcasts with a lot eclectic tastes, but Already Gone is easily my favorite True Crime.

Excellent
Nina has the best voice in podcasting. I discovered her by accident but I knew right away she would be a star.

Great podcast
Nina had a very soothing voice and always tells the lesser known cases.

It was Okay
It was always an okay podcast, never amazing. But it just kept getting more and more boring. Also, I came back to check something and turns out Nina has gotten very lazy and hires writers now.

Great voice for podcasts
Thanks

I’ve listened to your podcast for awhile now. I’ve read through the negative reviews and most of them read like one angry reviewer with a bunch of fake accounts and an agenda. Don’t pay them any mind. You are a great host, with great content, and a melodic voice. Keep putting out great content. I especially like the stories from my home state that’s shaped like a mitten with a hat.

Ai voice
No thanks. Can’t stand the sound of an ai voice. Technology isn’t their yet.

any warnings?!?
i used to like this podcast but stopped listening for one reason or another. i started back up recently and the graphic nature of some of these stories about children is really unnecessary especially when there is no warning!! no thank you, pretty inconsiderate.

Narrator
I liked the cases, but not the voice.

Far Left
An obvious far left propagandist host. It's embarrassing that people believe like cult following sheep.

Nails on chalkboard
This robotic voice and delivery is painfully annoying. I can’t get past it.

Robotic Storytelling
The content of the stories are actually interesting, but the delivery ruins it. The voice doesn’t sound human. Considering how horrendous some of the crimes are, there is a total lack of empathy and feeling in the voice.

Boring
As a previous reviewer said very boring and monotone. And yes, I gave it a try. I listened to 67 1/2 episodes before I finally cried “uncle”.
Nullity
👎🏾
A mediocre podcast with a host who spends inordinate amounts of time making excuses for white criminals and inept police. Meanwhile, non-white suspects and victims get vitriol. Avoid.

Boring monotone narration
Absolutely no soul or feeling

Tried it but no go
The voice sounds like a computer talking to u I tried getting into it cause I love listening to podcasts but the voice instantly was a turn off
dogeisbetterthangabe
Sounds like it uses a computerized voice. Ugh
Long pauses between sentences and while not totally unpleasant, sounds like they use a computerized voice. Kind of flat

Great Podcast!
I just discovered this podcast today, after reading an article on the sad case of Gail Webster - and then, of course, jumping into a research rabbit hole. This excellent podcast covers many Michigan crime cases that I remember from growing up in Royal Oak - including the OCCK, when I was the same age as Jill Robinson, and deeply affected by her death in a couple traumatic ways. That whole period left an indelible mark on the lives of us all, and those four young faces are forever deeply etched on my mind. Thank you for your work in keeping all of the cases you cover alive. As an aside, your voice is very calm and soothing, which provides a good buffer when hearing such hard stuff.

I want to like it…
But the host has such a monotone voice.

Religious
Too much emphasis on mainstream religion. If I wanted to hear about people in cults, I’d listen to a cult podcast. You shouldn’t put so much emphasis on these terrible parents brainwashing their children from birth, it’s gross
RapMon3
CREEPY
This show is a bit creepy, but the idea that anyone would want to hear horrible stories of mothers killing babies “in honor of mothers day” is just sick.

Background humming sound affects
I love All Ready Gone podcast and have been listening for years but the story being told with the background humming sound affects makes me feel sick while driving. I have tried several attempts to listen to several stories and each one made me feel sick. Is there anyway to listen to your great stories without this under tone of vibrations that are added for special affects? Sorry to complain.
Can some one
Text to Speech?
Neatly written, but so monotoned.

Wonderful and respectful telling
Nina does a wonderful job telling the stories of these people in a respectful way. I have listened to this podcast everyday since I have found it. Wonderful research and great telling.

Simply outstanding

Nope!
The host is trying way too hard to show off her “voice & speech training”. So cringe -can not stand to listen. Her inflections are over the top, corny & subsequently uncomfortable. Also, it’s fif-TEEN not fif-DEEN. It’s a noooo f-ing way fa me.
Ladygrail212
Stories are good; can’t stand delivery
I enjoy these stories, as they’re not usually ones I’ve heard before. However, I cannot stand the delivery. Nina has some annoying quirks (“listeners” being one), her voice is terrible, and I also just find her tone self-righteous/condescending. I’ll keep listening, but I listen at 2x to burn through them faster. As an aside, I was so disappointed that They Walk Among Us chose her to narrate the American version, so I don’t even listen.

So well done with care for the victim.
She does such a great job in research and building a photograph and story line that you can watch the movie in your head while listening. I love the care shown for the victims and how this is a recount of facts not an opinion from one person. I appreciate your hard work and have been binging all the episodes! Keep up the great work.

Great stories
I love the stories that Nina tells. She genuinely cares about victims. Please get rid of the weird humming sound in the background. It’s so horrible.
georgiagirl3
Conflicted
I genuinely enjoy the deep dives and calm presentation by the host. However, the jarring intro and strange bass sounds during the narration are distracting and unpleasant. I’m unable to listen to this podcast in my car unless I change my sound settings because it rumbles so much (and my settings are neutral/balanced to begin with). The bass issue is less pronounced over headphones but then the loud intro is right in my ear. 😕

Poorly narrated
Stories are good, but narration is monotoned and makes for a very boring pod cast!!

Music
The stories and information on this podcast is interesting but the deep, dark hum that is behind her voice makes it almost unbearable to listen to. The stories are dark enough, the music is unnecessary.
RaquelLeeS
Her voice:love it or hate it
My husband and I have different options on her voice and delivery. I find it incredibly agitating while my husband finds it calming. You’ll either love it or hate it. But we both find it annoying when she say “And listeners…”. But she does treat the victims with respect and dignity and does not in any way glorify the offenders
turbojen2
Again the voice is just horrible
It’s just nails on a chalk board. It takes me completely out of the story. I don’t understand these men and women who have horrible!!! Voices who do this. It’s hard to get lost in a story when I just hear nasal sound voice.
Bearded_platypus
Background music
Please remove the buzzing bass background noise. Very distracting.

Love love love love this
Just started listening and I am obsessed. Binge worthy and eye opening. I am local and vividly remember the Justin Mello murder. I truly enjoy this focus on Michigan based cases.

Missing episodes?
Awesome episodes! This podcast is well researched and written and Nina’s voice is just perfect for podcasting. Where are episodes 1-65?
